Based in San Diego but raised mostly in Central California (while also having lived in Japan, Germany, Washington, and Oklahoma), Mel has been a creative type since she was a wee tot. She passionately created banners and signs for her elementary school’s events, taught herself to code and build websites in middle school, and then, when she was in highschool, she was hired as a web and graphic designer at two nearby firms. Over the years since then she’s continued to learn and grow as a designer and approaches each project with curiousity and ethusiasm.
